Britney Jean Spears

Britney Jean Spears was born on the 2nd of December, 1981 in McComb, Mississippi & raised in Kentwood, Louisiana. As a young girl, Britney attended dance classes and was a pro at gymnastics, winning many contests and other similar. But, most of all, Britney loved to sing. Britney was 8 years old when the time came for her to be a part of The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) However, her young age led to her being denied. Britney was then referred to the off-Broadway production "Ruthless" in which she performed the lead role for two years. She tried again in The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) and this time , as an actual mouseketeer. However, her most notable break came in the late 1990s when she was signed as a Jive Recording artist. When she released her debut album"Baby One Last Time" "...Baby One More Time" in the early part of 1999, Britney became an international success with 13 million copies of "Baby" and 9 million (as as of July 2001) of her sophomore album "Oops !...I Did It Again" that was released in May 2000. Britney was the daughter of Lynne Spears and Jamie Spears. She has a big brother Bryan Spears and a little sister Jamie Lynn Spears. Britney was always destined to be an upcoming star at a young age. Britney loved singing and was influenced by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. Britney auditioned for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989-1994) when she was eight. But she was too old to be considered a suitable candidate. Instead, Britney, her mother and baby sister relocated to New York where she starred in numerous TV commercials as well as an off-Broadway musical, "Ruthless", where she was understudy with Natalie Portman. Her passion for dancing and music took over and, two years after, she auditioned for the role on "Mickey Mouse" again, and this time, got the role with Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake.
