Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish model and actor since November 11, 1996. Her first feature film appearance was a tiny part on her debut role in the Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). In the following film she was portrayed as a Nazi-sympathising Archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 1989). Other roles include Siobhan Donavan as Charlotte in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Doody was first introduced to modeling when she was offered by a professional photographer. The result was a successful professional career as a model for commercials. Doody did not shy away from glamour or naked work, a rule that she extended to her acting career. In 1985, following being noticed by the directors of casting for the James Bond new film, Doody was cast in a minor portion of Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody is listed within John Willis Screen World's Vol. 3 as one of the 12 most promising actors in 1986. 38. Doody was only aged 18 at the time of her first appearance in the Bond character. As of today, she is the youngest Bond girl. A Prayer for the Dying starring Mickey Rourke also had a role for Doody in the character of IRA Siobhan. Doody had a non-speaking role in the 1987 version of The Secret Garden appearing as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias in a dream. In the Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, she played Sapsorrow alongside John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The year 1988 was the first time she played as Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. The most memorable part to date was that of Austrian Nazi sympathizer and archaeologist Doctor Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in the 1989 film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody was in the film in the film with Sean Connery, who played Indiana Jones' father. Doody costarred with Jonathan Pryce, in the British miniseries Selling Hitler. The series was an inspiration for The Hitler Diaries publishing scam. She subsequently relocated to Hollywood. She took over Cybill Shepherd in the L'Oreal spokesperson role. Then she played Flannery Sheen's lover and agent, opposite Charlie Sheen, as Major League II became available in 1994. Doody who was away from acting for almost 10 years, came back in 2003 to take on a tiny part of her role in the British comedy The Actors in which Michael Caine appeared as her in a scene during an awards ceremony. Doody was a co-star, along alongside Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film version of King Solomon's Mines. Doody played a small role in Danny Dyer's movie The Rapture (2010). Doody was a guest on RTE's Medical drama The Clinic. The project was later shelved. Pam Jefferson, the character she played in E4's comedy Beaver Falls during its first season of two years. In 2014, she appeared in We Still Kill the Old Way. She was given the Almeria Tierra de Cinema award on 21 November 2018.
